With its cozy flavors and irresistible crisp topping, Apple Crumble is the perfect treat for chilly evenings or anytime sweet cravings hit.

Apple Crumble is a classic dessert that pairs soft, cinnamon-infused apples with a crisp, buttery crumble topping. Beloved for its simplicity, it originated as a comforting alternative to traditional pies, especially during wartime rationing in the UK. Warm, rustic, and irresistibly fragrant, it’s the kind of dessert that feels like a cozy hug in every spoonful. Whether served plain or topped with ice cream or custard, Apple Crumble is a timeless favorite that never disappoints.
It takes about 20mins of prep time and 30mins in the oven to make 5 servings of this Apple crumble.
Ingredients:
Red apples - 2 [peeled and chopped into chunks]
Green apples - 2 [peeled and chopped into chunks]
Butter - 1 tbsp + 1/4 cup
Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Flour - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1pinch
Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
Rolled Oats - 2 tbsp
Almond flakes - 2 tbsp
Method :
Heat 1tbsp butter in a pan. Add the chopped red and green apples. Add sugar and cinnamon powder and cook them till they are soft. Transfer them to a dish and let them cool for a bit.
In a mixing bowl, add flour, butter, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, rolled oats and almond flakes. Mix them all with your hands till they form a crumbly mixture. Pour this mixture on the softened apples and bake in the oven at 180C for about 30mins till the crumble turns a golden brown colour.
Serve the apple crumble hot with some frozen vanilla ice cream on top and enjoy!!
