The rich and fudgy chocolate Brownie is a favorite for all chocolate lovers. Combine it with creamy Vanilla Ice-cream, chocolate sauce and some nuts to experience Nirvana!!

Brownie is basically a baked condiment which is more chocolaty than a regular chocolate cake. I like my Brownies to be on the fudgier side than on the cakey side and this recipe is the best eggless one for a fudgy brownie which I have come across.

It takes about 40-45 mins to prepare 6 servings.

Ingredients:

Brownie:

  • All purpose flour - 100g

  • Condensed milk - 150g

  • Cooking chocolate - 100g

  • Butter - 3 tbsp

  • Coke - 100ml

  • Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp

  • Nuts - 1/4 cup (Cashew nuts + Walnuts) [chopped]

  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp

Assembling:

  • Brownie - 1 piece

  • Ghee or Butter - 1 tsp

  • Vanilla Ice cream - 1-2 scoops

  • Chocolate sauce - As required

  • Roasted nuts - As required (Cashew nuts + Walnuts) [chopped]

Method:

Sieve together flour, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl. Add the chopped nuts and mix well. In another bowl, add condensed milk and butter. Mix well till the mixture is smooth. Melt the cooking chocolate separately. I use double-boiler method to melt the chocolate where the chocolate is melted in a glass bowl above a vessel containing boiling water. Oven melted chocolate can also be used. Add the melted chocolate to the condensed milk and butter mixture. Add the vanilla essence to it and mix till all the chocolate is combined. Add the dry ingredient mixture little at a time along with coke and mix well till all the ingredients are combined. Pour the mixture into a greased tin and bake in pre-heated oven at 180°C for 10-15mins.

Slice the Brownies into equal portions once it cools. The Brownies can be relished as is if you are too impatient for the add-ons :P

For the dessert I usually like to warm up the brownie piece at the bottom as I love the contrast in temperatures between the warm brownie and the cool ice-cream. To warm-up the brownie, place the brownie on a hot tava over a spoon of melted ghee or butter. Assemble the dessert with the warm brownie, a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top of it, as much chocolate sauce on top of it and roasted nuts to your heart's content.

This recipe is super easy and seems fancy for specials guests whom you want to impress. If not, you can just make it at home to satisfy your chocolate cravings like I do :P
