Oats Dosa

Instant and easy dosa made with quick rolled oats. Perfect breakfast for your Sunday mornings.


I came across this recipe when I was looking for different things to prepare with oats. It turned out exactly like rava dosa which we love at home.



It takes about 45 mins to prepare about 12 dosas.

 

Ingredients:


  • Rolled oats - 1/2 cup

  • Rice flour - 1/2 cup

  • Semolina - 2 tbsp [fine semolina]

  • Salt - to taste

  • Water - 2 cups

  • Onion - 1/2 [finely chopped]

  • Green chilli - 2 [finely chopped]

  • Curry leaves - 2 tbsp [finely chopped]

  • Oil - as required


Method:

In a pan, dry roast the rolled oats until it turns crunchy. Cool it completely and grind it to a fine powder. Transfer the oats powder to a large bowl. Add rice flour and semolina. Prepare a watery batter by adding 2 cups of water. Now add salt, onion, green chillies and curry leaves. Mix well and rest for 15 minutes. You can adjust the batter consistency by adding water if required. On a hot pan, pour the batter evenly from a height. Spread oil and allow to roast for 2 minutes or until the dosa turns crispy. Finally, enjoy the Crispy Oats Dosa with spicy chutney.
