This simple chaat recipe is easy to make and a crowd pleaser. If you have the ingredients ready at home, you can whip this up in minutes and enjoy with your close ones!!

The key hero ingredients used in this recipe is boiled potatoes and chickpeas which makes it super simple. I tried this using the recipe from Hebbar's kitchen which came out really well.
It takes about half an hour to prepare 2 servings.
Ingredients:
For green chutney:
Green chillies - 10
Ginger - 1 inch
Coriander seeds - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1/4 bunch
Salt - to taste
For Tamarind Chutney:
Tamarind - 100g
Jaggery - 100g
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
For aloo chana mixture:
Potato - 1 (boiled & cubed)
Chikpea - 1cup (soaked & boiled)
Green chutney - 1 tsp
Tamarind chutney 1 tsp
Curd - 2tbsp (whisked)
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
For plating:
Papdi - 3 [optional]
Curd - 1 tbsp
Green chutney - 2 tsp
Tamarind chutney - 2 tsp
Onion - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Red Chilli powder - a pinch
Cumin powder - a pinch
Aamchur powder - a pinch
Chaat masala 1 a pinch
Salt - a pinch
Sev - 3 tbsp
Coriander - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Method:
In a bowl take cubed potato and boiled chickpea. Add green chutney, tamarind chutney and curd. Add red chilli powder and salt. Mix well making sure all the spices are well combined. Transfer the aloo chana mixture to a serving plate. Crush 3 papdi over the mixture. Top it with curd, green chutney and tamarind chutney. Add shopped onion on top. Sprinkle a pinch of chilli powder, cumin powder, aamchur, chaat masala and salt. Top with sev as required. Finally, garnish with coriander and enjoy aloo chana chaat.
