The Besan ladoo is a simple sweet usually prepared during the Deepavali festival in many parts of India. This easy recipe of it is a must-try recipe for your sweet-tooth.

This is again one of my mother's recipe, but yeah most of the recipes on the internet uses mostly the same ingredients with little variations in measurements.
The preparation time is about 45mins for 12 ladoos.
Ingredients:
Besan/gram flour - 2 cup
Ghee - ½ cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom - 4 (powdered)
Cashew - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Method:
Sieve the besan to remove larger particles. In a kadai, heat ghee and add the besan to it. Roast on low flame until the besan is well combined. Keep stirring till besan releases ghee and turns golden brown which might take 20 - 30 mins. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl and allow it to cool for few minutes. Meanwhile dry roast the cashew pieces and set it aside. Blend the sugar and cardamom to form a fine powder. Add this mixture to the roasted besan along with the cashew pieces and form ladoos when besan is still little hot. The laddos must be formed when the besan is hot so that the sugar powder melts a little and sticks to hold the shape.
We usually make Besan ladoos at home for Gokulashtami and Deepavali. Since it is pretty simple to make as compared to many other traditional Indian sweets, it can also be prepared for any other celebrations at home.
really looks like yummy
