Burger is probably one of the top dishes on the fast food list for many people all over the world. And of course fries is a must to go with the tasty Burger.

Mostly inspired by the Aloo tikki burger from McDonald's, I have come up with this recipe with the help of Hebbar's kitchen - Aloo tikki burger recipe. The fries recipe is the same in most websites and I am sure many of you already know the process of making fries at home.
It takes about an hour to make the burger and fries for 4 servings.

Maida - 3 tbsp
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
Water - 1/4 cup
Bread crumbs - 1 cup
Oil
For assembling burger:
Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp
Tomato sauce - 3 tbsp
Red chilli sauce - 1tsp
Burger bun - 4
Tomato slices
Onion slices
Lettuce leaves
For Fries:
Potato - 4 large (sliced)
Cold water
Salt to taste
Oil
Method:
In a large mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, boiled peas, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, ginger paste and salt. Mix well and add rinsed poha. Combine well to form a dough. Shape into patty. In separate bowl, add maida, corn flour, pepper powder and salt. Add water and form a knot-free mixture. Dip the patty into the wet mixture and coat with bread-crumbs. Deep fry in oil.
Roast the two halves of the burger bun slightly on a tawa. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, tomato sauce and red chilli sauce. Spread this mixture on one half of the burger bun. Add tomato slices, onion slices and lettuce leaves as you please. Place the patty and top it off with the other half of the burger bun.
For fries, rinse the sliced potatoes in cold water and dry them on a towel. Deep fry them in hot oil and coat them with salt.
As you can see it is a very simple recipe and needs few ingredients only to satisfy your sudden burger craving.
Hope you have fun preparing the Aloo tikki burger!!
