"I love pizza" - is one of the most common phrase we hear when it comes to food. Pizza is something which can be consumed at any time of the day. This is one of the simplest recipes which I can recommend if you want to try making pizza at home.

The recipe of the base is pretty much same in most recipes on the net. The toping is again the cook's choice. Try this basic veg pizza at home and let me know how it came out in the comments below.
This recipe takes about 3 hours to prepare 2 pizzas.
Ingredients:
For dough:
Warm water - ½ cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
Dry yeast - 1 tsp
Maida - 2 cups
Salt - to taste
Oil - 3 tbsp
Water - as required to knead
For topping:
Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp
Red chilli sauce - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)
Capsicum - 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)
Sweet corn - 1/3 cup
Paneer cubes - 1/3 cup
Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 cup
Mixed herbs - 2 tsp
Chilli flakes - 2 tsp
Method:
In a large mixing bowl take warm water, sugar and dry yeast and give a quick mix. Allow it to rest for about 5 minutes. Next add maida, salt and oil and knead the dough adding water as required. Tuck the dough and form a ball. Place it in a large mixing bowl. Cover and rest in a warm place for about 2 hours. Punch the dough with fist to release down the air and knead again for few minutes. Roll out the dough with rolling pin and flatten using hands. Form a thick edge and prick the center with fork.
In a bowl, mix tomato sauce and chilli sauce to make quick pizza sauce. Spread this sauce on the base uniformly. Add onions, capsicum, sweet corn and paneer cubes as much as you like. You can use different toppings as you want at this stage. Grate in the mozzarella cheese uniformly over the pizza. Sprinkle about a tsp each of chilli flakes and mixed herbs.
Bake in pre-heated oven at 250°C for 8-10 mins till the cheese melts and the crust forms a golden brown color.
Slice the pizza and serve hot. I paired it with simple salads and tomato ketchup. Let me know what you would pair it with.

Yes you can... You can use pre-heated tawa to cook the pizza by covering it till the cheese melts
Can we make Pizza like this without using Microwave Oven?
